Ansel Adams was born Feb. 20, 1902. He was a photographer, environmentalist and a pianist. He was born in San Francisco, California. Ansel broke his nose when he was younger due to a earthquake and fire in 1906, that left his scared. He had troubles fitting in at school due to the earthquake, his father and aunt tutored him, awhile later he went to a private school. In 1928, he got married to Virgina Best, they later on had two kids. 1927, he made his first fully visualized photograph, Monolith, the face of Half Dome.

| I chose this picture because the beach is one of my favorite places . In this picture I love how the sun is reflecting off the water and I also really like the ripples of water this picture catches. everything in this picture looks soothing. |
